New History

 This is one of the first forms of Bleak drawn in a rap-rhyme book Circa 2009. Compiled below are the year and key events they marked with a collection of pictures and art from that year.

2010/2011 - The image of Bleak was made into a sticker, shadows was being graffitied throughout Raleigh

2012 - Bleak was painted on canvases that were given out to friends to spread image.

2013 - Bleak started being hand printed on t-shirts very DIY style

2014 - Bleak was continuously wheat pasted, graffitied and spread through punk, metal, hip hop and skateboarding scenes.

2015 - The artist got in some legal trouble, had to move houses and decided to invest in a real t-shirt screen press. The name Shadows Life was created to represent the brand and movement. More art in the sense of logo’s we’re made to display what Shadows Life as an expression represented. Sponsored their first Skate4Life event

2016 - The artist began to draw Bleak scenes more as until this point they had been paintings or quick skateboard tags.

2017 - Drawings started being scanned and colored in photoshop. Shadows Life began putting on Hip Hop shows to help foster the underground scene.

2018 - Drawing, Painting. Shows.

2019 - Drawing, painting, shows. The first Shadows Life art event was held. I 

2020 - Although the artist still had a job to go to there was much more free time that and no allure of social-life allowed for much more drawing to happen. Skills were honed and memories brought to life.

2021 - Juggling a restaurant and having to go sketch, ink then drive to fedex to use their giant scanner and working on an insanely slow computer was becoming a hassle the more drawings were being made so in the summer of 2021 an IPad Pro was bought and the the journey of adding animation to the list of abilities was underway.
